Overview

A solid cast brass hoof gauge, these are used for measuring the angle of the hoof bottom to the front wall. Used by professional farriers and veterinarians, hoof gauges are invaluable as tools of the trade. This tool would also make a cool decorative paperweight on your desk, it is in good order other than needing a light polish, size is approx. 5 3/4" by 4 1/2" by 2 1/4" high. Hoof angles should be between 50 – 55 degrees for front feet (matching pair) and between 55 – 60 degrees for back feet (matching pair)
